Our program, developed by a team of educators, psychologists, and artists in the MENA region, aims to support students in achieving their full potential and contributing to broader societal goals. Through effective tracking mechanisms, we seek to revolutionise how students are assessed for Social, Emotional, and Behavioural (SEB) Development, empowering schools to take action for long-term personal success. Our approach involves the use of short scenarios and question videos that will be implemented in schools from the first grade to the final year. Each video will address a different topic, raising students' awareness of issues that require their attention, such as the importance of distinguishing between correct and incorrect behaviours.
We have categorised the age groups into four categories grade to ensure that the videos are appropriate for each student's level of understanding. By tailoring the program to the needs of each group, we believe it will be more effective in delivering the message.
The Learning Process
Observation
The social learning theory starts with observing specific behaviors, which we later imitate after undergoing certain mental processes.
Recognition
To learn effectively, the learner must be focused and attentive. Paying attention to the task at hand is the initial step to retaining information and acquiring knowledge. The behavior we aim to imitate should be attention-grabbing to minimize external distractions.
Recalling
Retention is dependent on how well we remember the behavior we observed. It is crucial to have a strong recollection of the behavior we intend to mimic and use it as a reference or guide.
Reproduction
Once we have carefully observed, attentively noted, and committed the specific behavior to memory, we should have the capability to execute it ourselves. However, other factors, such as physical limitations, may influence our ability to reproduce the behavior and must be taken into consideration.
Motivation
Motivation is a fundamental aspect of social learning theory, serving as the cornerstone for all other principles to thrive. As a powerful catalyst, motivation plays a crucial role in facilitating the adoption and practical application of these principles.
